Winning Consortium Simandou (WCS) is a Guinean mining company established to develop Blocks 1 and 2 of the Simandou iron ore deposit, one of the largest and richest untapped iron ore reserves in the world. This project, of both national and continental significance, embodies a strategic partnership between Winning Consortium, Baowu Resources, and the Government of the Republic of Guinea. Together, these partners form a unique model of industrial and economic cooperation, built on social responsibility, transparency, and the transfer of knowledge and skills, all serving the sustainable development of Guinea. An Integrated Development Vision : The Simandou Project, led by Winning Consortium Simandou, follows an integrated approach that combines: - Sustainable mining operations, in full compliance with international standards of safety, environmental protection, and governance; - The construction of strategic infrastructure, including a Trans-Guinean railway linking the forest region to the Atlantic coast, and a port at Moribayah; - The creation of broad economic opportunities, generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, with a strong emphasis on training, local employment, and the empowerment of Guinean professionals.
