We are delighted you will be joining us as a guest speaker at Mining Indaba 2026 taking place from the 9-12 February 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. Please read the following info pack and checklist carefully as it contains important information about your participation at Mining Indaba.

Ensure you have completed the full checklist well in advance of the event. Details on each point can be found in the following sections.
Register for the event and provide your details
Send in your photo and bio
Book your accommodation and travel using the discounted rates
Check if you need a visa to travel to Cape Town and apply if so
Use the complimentary banners to promote your participation on social media
Put your presentation in PowerPoint (16:9 format) and let us know if you require AV

Travelling
Speakers are required to book their own accommodation and travel.
Accommodation
Mining Indaba has partnered with iccommodate to provide preferential rates at various hotels in Cape Town and can assist you with visas, transfers and other tourist options. There is currently a high demand for accommodation during the event, so booking as soon as possible is advised. Please click here to book your accommodation.
Visa
Please check with your local embassy/consulate or government department for up-to-date information regarding whether you need to obtain a visa in advance for travel to South Africa. For visa letters, please contact [email protected].
Your Attendance
Registration
As a speaker, you are required to register by [LINK REQUIRED - clicking here]. Please ensure you use the link, as it is set up just for speakers; therefore, your badge will be in the correct category for you. Please collect your badge on arrival at Mining Indaba. If you need to check your registration, please contact [email protected].
Assets to promote your attendance
To access complimentary banners to share on social media and further promote your attendance, please email [email protected].
Translation
Translation will be available throughout the event. If you require translation services for your session please email [email protected] at least 1 month ahead of the event.
Your headshot & bio
Please send your preferred headshot and bio to [email protected], so we can add you to the website and start promoting your participation. The sooner you send it, the sooner we’ll be able to promote your session.
Presentations
If you are delivering a presentation please ensure it is in PowerPoint format, not pdf. All slides should be in 16:9 format. You will not need to bring your laptop onsite as the presentation will be displayed directly from the AV control desk. If you have any specific requirements with regards to your presentation (embedding videos, internet required, audio required) please ensure you let the Mining Indaba team know 2 weeks ahead of the event to ensure that we can support this onsite.
