From a very young age Honourable Kröhne has been passionate about political activism and service to her people. Endowed with a spirit of volunteerism, she started civic engagement at a very young age.  
Honourable Kröhne is a member of the SWAPO Party and has served in its rank and file. She has served in several leadership portfolios before becoming the Mayor of Keetmanshoop from 2015 to 2020 and the proceeded to being an ordinary Councillor. With over 25 years of experience in public service Honourable Gaudentia Krohne interest deeply rooted in the development aspirations of Namibia. She is a Trade Unionist; a SWAPO Party Central Committee member as well a Deputy Secretary of Labour in the Secretariat of the Swapo Party. On 22 March 2025 Honourable Kröhne was appointed as Deputy Minister of Industries Mines and Energy. 
As Deputy Minister, Honourable is committed to: 
• Advancing sustainable and inclusive access to energy 
• Promoting local beneficiation in the mining sector and 
• Aligning our policies with both Namibia’s national development goals and global environmental commitments.

The session will highlight the country’s stable and transparent regulatory framework, recent policy reforms, and emerging investment opportunities across critical/strategic minerals, exploration, beneficiation, and downstream value addition, aligned with the global energy transition.
