Hon. Dr. Polite Kambamura

Honourable Dr. Eng. P. Kambamura is a distinguished Mining Engineer and academic with a strong foundation in engineering, resource management, and public policy. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master of Business Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining Engineering. His academic portfolio is further enriched by a Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Sustainability, which he completed with distinction, earning the Vice Chancellor’s Award for outstanding performance.To enhance strategic leadership in the mining sector, Dr. Kambamura has undertaken advanced professional training in finance, economics, and mining optimisation, including executive programmes from Toronto University and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has also completed a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Governance and is pursuing doctoral studies in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Kambamura has served as Member of Parliament for Sanyati Constituency since 2018, with a renewed mandate in 2023. He was appointed Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development in 2018 and rose to the position of Minister in December 2025. He brings a unique blend of technical expertise, policy insight, and leadership to Zimbabwe’s mining sector.
