Dr. Jason Peng Gu holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Over the past 15+ years, he has built a distinguished career at the intersection of technology, industry, and entrepreneurship—founding, scaling, and successfully exiting multiple ventures focused on industrial innovation. His passion for advancing environmental safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability began with his first startup, which pioneered technologies for monitoring hazardous gases and air quality. Since then, he has remained committed to leveraging innovation to transform traditional industries. Today, as he is dedicated to Sakariya’s mission in mining and resources, Dr. Gu is focused on building a long-term, globally competitive mining company—one that integrates cutting-edge innovation with deep industry expertise to deliver value.
