Navesh Ragoonanthun serves as a Director at Mineomics SA, a specialist company supporting mines globally in maximising orebody potential through the fundamentals of Mining Economics, technical advisory, strategy and corporate finance. Prior, Navesh was based in the UK as MD Energy and Natural Resources at an investment bank. He also spent 11 years consulting (at Bain & Co and Deloitte) to the mining industry and was a partner at Deloitte where he served as the Operations Transformation (Energy and Natural Resources) leader. He has a proven ability to turn underperforming mining assets into profit generating businesses. Navesh has led multiple capital project reviews (technical and financial) of brown and greenfield tier 1 projects at various global mining companies in all major commodity categories spanning Australia, USA, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil and southern Africa. He started his career in deep level mining production at AngloGold Ashanti and later moved to Rio Tinto focussing on Mine Development. He also served as the Group GM for Business Development at a rail and port company and brings an end-to-end value chain skill set from pit to markets. Navesh holds a BSc Mining Engineering and MBA qualifications.
