Raj Ray

MD, Metals & Mining Research BMO Capital Markets

Raj joined BMO Capital Markets in October 2019 covering primarily precious metals. Raj has over 10 years of sell-side research experience having worked previously at another Canadian broker-dealer covering Metals & Mining, and prior to that at a Canadian bank-owned dealer covering Precious Metals. Raj started his career in the industry at a natural resources company monitoring process operations in the base metals business. He has also worked at a risk management firm where he developed and reviewed risk evaluation metrics for mining and energy companies, and also integrated ESG factors to screen portfolios. 
Raj holds a bachelor in metallurgy and materials engineering from National Institute of Technology (Rourkela), India, and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. Raj is also a CFA charterholder.
