Sabine Dall'Omo is a highly respected figure in the field of digital technology and engineering in Africa, recognized as one of the continent's most influential women. With over thirty years of experience at Siemens, she currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and board member for Siemens in South Africa, where she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to driving innovation and leveraging technology for the advancement of society. Sabine's dedication to the development of Africa is evident in her various leadership roles. She was recently elected as Chairperson of the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein Deutschen Wirtschaft), showcasing her commitment to fostering business relations between Germany and Africa. Sabine maintains her role as Deputy Chairperson of the NEPAD Business Foundation, a prestigious position that underscores her expertise in business strategy and development. In addition, Sabine has been appointed to serve on the Presidential Advisory Council on Investment (PACI), where she lends her insights and expertise to drive economic growth and investment in Africa. Sabine has also been appointed as Vice Chairperson of the NMI (North Africa Middle East Initiative of German Business / German: Nordafrika Mittelost Initiative der deutschen Wirtschaft). Her contributions to the academic community are equally commendable. She was elected to the North-West University Faculty of Engineering Dean's Advisory Board, where she provides guidance and strategic direction for engineering education in South Africa. She has also been honoured with a membership on the Board of Trustees for the Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e. V., showcasing her passion for addressing global hunger and poverty. With her visionary leadership, Sabine Dall'Omo has made significant strides in advancing engineering, science, and technology in Africa.
