Dr. Hapenga Kabeta
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, Republic of Zambia
Dr Hapenga Monty KABETA is the current Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development in Zambia. Prior to his taking up the public service, Dr KABETA was working as management Consultant, under Strategic Visions Limited. He was previously Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. He was earlier the Director General of the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA). Dr KABETA is a former senior academic at the Copperbelt University where he spent nine years of his professional life as academician, researcher, management and marketing lecturers. He is a corporate governance practitioner and trainer.
Dr KABETA is a strategic planning expert of over twenty years providing advisory services to large and small entities. He provided consultancy services to various project management related assignments. He has provided consultancy services to the agribusiness sector, regulatory sector and conservation and private sector organisations.
He holds a Bachelor, Master and doctorate degree qualifications and professional marketing experience.
