Ravi Naidoo
CEO Youth Employment Service
Ravi Naidoo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Service (YES), which was created by the private sector CEO Initiative. Ravi joined YES as CEO in 2021, bringing with him many years of experience in impact and ESG-related programmes. Some of his successes prior to joining YES, include the establishment of the SA National Green Fund and being the manager of the multi-stakeholder ‘Health Roadmap’ that culminated in government’s AIDS turnaround strategy (which saw average life expectancy rise from 49 to 62 years). He is now driving a particular focus on opportunities related to future-facing industries such as drones, renewables, and artificial intelligence. In 2022, Ravi was appointed to the National Planning Commission, where he serves as chairperson of the Economy Workstream. Ravi holds a master’s degree from Harvard University.
