CIO Mutapa Investment Fund
Simba Chinyemba is a prominent figure in the Zimbabwean mining and investment landscape. An actuary by profession, he served as the CEO of Kuvimba Mining House (Pvt) Ltd, a diversified mining company with significant interests in gold, platinum, and other minerals. During his tenure, Chinyemba played a key role in the growth and development of Kuvimba, overseeing various mining operations and strategic initiatives. He is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Mutapa Investment Fund.
The Mutapa Investment Fund, formerly known as the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Zimbabwe, is a state-owned investment fund established in 2015 and renamed in 2023. It was created to manage the country's wealth for future generations and to support economic development. In mining terms, it is the largest owner of mineral resources in Zimbabwe.
