Technical Mining Advisory Lead and Associate Director Deloitte

Stewart leads Deloitte’s Technical Mining Advisory (DTMA) business. 

He is a geologist and an experienced mining professional with more than 25 years’ experience in production, mining software systems and technical consulting. He started his career with AngloGoldAshanti and had subsequent roles with Gemcom Software and The Mineral Corporation, before joining Deloitte in 2020.

Stewart has advised on a wide range of technical matters such as exploration and Mineral Resource strategies for project development and has authored / co-authored thought pieces on the importance of mineral development policy and critical mineral development strategies in Africa. He has undertaken Mineral Resource and Reserve evaluation and authored Competent Persons Reports and NI 43-101 reports in gold, platinum, lithium, uranium, manganese and iron ore. 

He has extensive experience in mining Due Diligence, Mineral Asset valuation and specialist support for mining-sector Audits.
