Policy Advisor SIRGE Coalition
Ms Yblin ROMÁN ESCOBAR is a Policy Adviser at the SIRGE Coalition, advocating for Indigenous Peoples' rights. She is also a guest lecturer at VIVES University College and a researcher at Ghent University in Belgium, where she oversees Social Life Cycle Assessments for European projects.
With a strong background in international cooperation, Ms ROMÁN ESCOBAR has developed public awareness campaigns and supported volunteer initiatives as an International Cooperation Officer for the City Council of Evergem, Belgium. She has collaborated with SDG Watch Europe to advance Sustainable Development Goals across Europe.
Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from Ghent University. She also has completed postgraduate studies in international cooperation at University College KATHO in Belgium.
